We are lucky to have our own Russian River Chamber Music. Join them on Saturday, September 27th at 7:30 p.m. for their season kick off : "Radiance & Shadows" at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 209 Matheson Street.

The Raven Players have begun their season of theatrical productions – look for thrills, drama, comedy and musicals, all held at the Raven Theater on North Street, just a few blocks from the Inn.

The Healdsburg Philharmonia will perform Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale, a musical theatre masterpiece with narrator, actors, and a ballerina on November 9th at The Raven Theater.

View local art galleries, and enjoy food and wine at the free ArtWalks, held the second Saturday of each month, from 5-8 p.m.

The Healdsburg Museum’s current exhibit is “If the Plaza Could Speak.” Come see milestones and memories in the life of our beloved Healdsburg Plaza, from its pioneer inception in 1857 to the present. In addition to historical photographs and artifacts is a not to be missed scale replica of the Plaza in 1886. Admission is always free.

Finally – we end with food and wine, of course. Come to the End of Summer BBQ at Hart's Desire Wines, September 28th at noon, 53 Front Street.

Here is an easy recipe – good for chilly fall mornings and for a crowd (recipe can be halved).

Artichoke Cheese Baked Omelet
cooking spray
2 cups hot or mild salsa
3 large cans artichoke hearts (not marinated), chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
15 eggs
16 ounces sour cream
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 11x15 inch pan with oil. Layer all the salsa in pan, followed by the chopped artichokes, and then cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses on top. This can be covered and refrigerated overnight at this point. Whisk together the eggs, sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Pour this egg mixture over all layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until set and lightly browned. Yield 18 servings. Serve for brunch with a Sonoma County sparkling wine.
